The former CEO of Ethio Telecom, Dr. Andualem Admassie received his letter of appointment today, January 18, 2023, at a ceremony attended by members of the organization’s leadership who were called to serve as the CEO of Tele Mobile South Sudan (TMSS), which was founded by Ethiopian investor Mr. Aisheshim Teka. The owner and founder of the organization, Mr. Aysheshim Teka, own various business institutions in South Sudan and is a well-known individual who contributes greatly to humanitarian aid and peace building in the region. For this, he has received many recognitions and awards from the African Union as well. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tele Mobile South Sudan(TMSS), Dr. Andualem Admassie Abate, who is a PhD holder in Business Administration from Bulacan State University and both his Bachelor and Master’s Degree is from Addis Ababa University.

 

In the world of work, he is an experienced management and leadership professional who worked in various C-Level positions including Ethio Telecom, Private and Public Institutions as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Chief Internal Audit Officer (CIAO), Senior Project Coordinator (Audit), Program Manager, Director General, Dean of a College, Principal Consultant, Lead Consultant, Researcher. He has served Ethio Telecom for more than ten years, from the position of Chief Internal Audit Officer (CIAO) up to Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and has gained extensive experience in representing the company in various international forums.

 

Tele Mobile South Sudan (TMSS) is currently the fourth largest provider of mobile communication services in South Sudan after MTN, Zain and Digitel. It is the company that has been given the work permit/license from the government of South Sudan to operate in the country.
